I own a high mileage 2001 Mustang. It will soon require a new rack and pinion.

The Ford dealership here in Vancouver would like to charge me $1500 (plus tax) for the full job, and that includes the parts, labour and doing a wheel alignment.

The Ford dealer in Bellingham, WA has quoted me $620 for the parts, $359 for labour and $50 for the alignment, which totals $1030.

Conclusion:

I will be taking my Mustang to the Belligham Ford dealer to have the job done and will save $470.
