As the webmaster of this website, I feel it is my obligation to advise all fellow Vancouver residents that there are massive savings by purchasing gas in Blaine, WA.
On Dec 5, 2008 I used my Nexus card to scoot across the border for some gas. I went to the USA Gas facility at 371 3rd Street in Blaine and pumped 9.465 US gallons into my empty tank at a cost of $17.03 USD.
This works out to 59 cents Canadian a litre. On that same day gas in Vancouver was selling for about 83 cents Canadian a litre .. which makes the gas in Blaine a whopping 24 cents a litre cheaper than here in price gouging Vancouver!!!!!
It is a shame we have to pay 41% more for our gas here in Vancouver than in Blaine. No use getting upset about it. Just wait until your tank is empty and drive down to Blaine.
