Parts and Service
« on: September 22, 2008, 03:07:35 PM »
I just imported a (used) 2008 BMW and saved a bundle. My plan is to have the car serviced in Seattle as well – regular maintenance is included in the price for 50,000 miles. What experience do others have with servicing vehicles and buying tires etc. in WA? Recommendation appreciated.

As for buying Tire, I would strongly recommend www.tirerack.com. They have very good prices and then you can find a place to install them closer to the border and have the tires shipped there.

From my understanding minor auto maintenance is not an issue with Canada Customs.  However, you are required to report and pay gst+pst on major car repairs.
