I recently purchased men's athletic wear at Ross in the US and got these three items:
1) Nikon Mens running tank top moisture wikking - cost $5 US
2) Nikons Mens golf shirt moisture wicking material - cost $10 US
3) Columbia mens casual long sleeve button down shirt - cost $12 US

I recently visited Winners here in Vancouver and compared prices. Across the board, everything I purchased in the US was exactly double the price at Winners.

I looked at other men's clothing as well as luggage and notice the trend is well established in that you will pay 100% for comparable items shopping at Winners here in Canada versus buying the items at Ross in the US.

One more example: Most luggage cases were $79.99 here in Canada. At Ross in the US most luggage is $39.99. The 100% rule applies again.

Save big money and spend your hard earned dollars in the US.

BC Residents Cross Border shopping in WA / Re: TireRack
« Last post by admin on August 24, 2010, 03:14:42 PM »
Can you post which website you purchased the tires from. Other people have indicated a lot of money can be saved by purchasing tires in the US instead of Canada.

I checked Costco but it looks to me like there is not much of a price difference at Costco.

Walmart Bellingham didn't charge me sales tax on July 25. Target had a notice that they will not exempt BC customer so I didn't shop there.

if you are aware of any other retailers still exempting BC residents please post it. thanks.

Yea, i've used one of their Ontario border KinekPoints too. I used them as my US shipping address when I ordered some parts for my boat. They've got border locations that you can use as your US shipping address in Port Huron (michigan), Buffalo (ny), Lewiston (ny), Wellesley Island (ny), Champlai) (new york), derby line (vermont), and calais (maine).

best part is getting the text message on arrival, don't have to check my tracking all the time.

If you live in the Kelowna area and want to order from US companies that don't ship to Canada (or just want to avoid expensive Canadian shipping), there is a place in Oroville, Washington (right along the border) that will accept packages for you. As soon as your package they will notify you by text message and email and you can then just head down and pick it up when it is convenient for you.

The location was set up by the Kinek company and you need to register with them (free to register, you just pay $3 when you pick up your package). The border location is called Appleway Video and you can check them out at www.kinek.com/appleway. I heard about them over at www.Shiptotheborder.com

They've also got other border locations across Canada and tons all over the US that you can use while travelling there.

I will be going to Vegas Nov 10-14 with my husband. We are staying 4 nights free and got pretty reasonable nonstop flights on Southwest. I have a rental car through Dollar for the entire time for a total of around $90. I am a bargain and coupon shopper and have already purchased coupons on restaurant.com at (50% off), Kahunaville, Blondies, Jillians and the Original Pancake House. They are running 50% again ( code # 99923), and I was wondering if there are any other restaurants that are worth getting coupons for. I would love to go to Commanders Palace for lunch, but that coupon is currently sold out

Hi all,
I am a reporter at the Canadian Press and looking for someone to talk to me about the ease of using the Nexus card for cross-border shopping. If you want to speak about this email me at sunny.freeman@thecanadianpress.com
Thanks!
